The first big white line after 0 is 500. Each next little line is another 100 until the next big white line which is 1000.
Setting base idle, you want it sitting at that big white 500 line. It will seem like the car is going to stall but it wont. Thats just what you want.

cold start 1500 just a hair high maybe 1520 etc. doesn't really bother me idles at 750 and i think i might need to diagnose the alternator or eld. car vibrates when i turn on the headlights i don't think the eld or alternator can can handle the demand.......im almost certain that its the alternator because i hooked up a multimeter to the batter and revved it SOMETIMES i get a 3 volt. 5 volt 7 volt readings then goes back to normal so im going to need to pull a diagnostic sheet for both

On a cold start the idle is bumped higher to 1500 due to the fitv. It will gradually come down and the fitv will close as the car warms up. Warmed up, the car will idle around 750. That's completely and totally normal.

the idle is good. its just the vibration in the engine and sudden drop in rpm. im thinking alternator. it only happens when i put a sudden load.
headlights. full blast fan etc.
