Copied from a previous post that I got no replies from:

Tried searching, but couldn't find anyone with a similar issue. I have noticed the my seats, when I sit on them they feel a tad bit damp. Like moisture is stuck inside the car. No water in spare tire area, the passenger floor area is dry. The door panels feel a bit sticky, its really odd, and the end of my seat belt feels lightly damp and I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue and has a fix to it. I have owned a handful of EF's and this is the first. Its a 89 LX sedan NO sunroof. I have owned just for a little over 3 months.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

If it's got an aftermarket windshield, it might not have seated properly. Other than that, there's a few vents behind the windshield cowl that tend to let water in if the cowl drain is clogged with leaves/muck.

Maybe take a door card off and check your door drain holes aren't clogged and that there isn't water sitting in the bottom of the door. Apart from that, i don't really have any suggestions.. Maybe buy one of those things you put in the closet to combat dampness lol

Nice, they look tidy.

Anywhere from 100-200 bucks maybe. Depends on actual condition and who's buying though.

yeah kinda what I was thinking too, they got small cig burns here and there but no holes. oh and the steel wire in the driver one is pulled out in a corner. that's how they turned out after I pressure washed them too lol. literally found the two back ones in the car at the junkyard and had to look around the other cars to locate the front two for almost an hour, but very worth it. I paid $5 for all four haha.

That sucks on the stolen.

That's another reason why I love my Honda. Beefing up security o it, if that means anything on a Honda.. (it's so steal able it can be driven with a brake lock on it. Just use the EB's. Got one like I have now? Take 11 seconds or so, cut that steering wheel. Yeah, casual thieves are deterred, but Google any system to see how it can be defeated..)

.. I got mine back. So even though disaster rankles ALL my vehicles (my Honda is an EJ1, as cut up and hacked up as they come so it can be modded as much as I like, also wanting it to avoid being a target for thieves, saw a Civic with trash bag over a window.. people do that stuff) .. I can't let go.

I do it for the fallen.
