take off your steering column cover. on the underside, you will see the back side of the key switch where you see a bunch of wires going in.. where they go in the key switch, youll see where theyre soldered in. the solder joints should be round and bulbous looking. not burnt , flat or any small holes in the solder.

I bought a brand new I'm however while removing the old one I noticed the old one doesn't have the ground. Its missing a ground. Anyone have a clue where the ground comes from? The icm is held by 2 7mm screws and there should be one for the ground on the heat sink attached to the icm. But its not there and I don't know where its suppose to come from or where it's grounded to. Anyone have an extra dizzy they can open up and look??? Ty spee really need your expert advise. I don't mind a text if you can! pm me!
I think mine is different? i can email you through the workshop manual though, and it will tell you the pinouts of the wiring harnesses if that's any help?

Also i typed in 'EF ICM honda' into google and there's a bunch of images of the insides of a dizzy if that helps.

Anybody looking for a shell or exhaust? I think I'm ready to call it quits with the sedan.

@spee, i looked through a ton but can never get a good image of an obd0 dizzy that happens to be showing the icm or where the ground is coming from. The top bolt for the dizzy is stripped so i changed the icm on the spot. So far it hasn't died randomly but the idle is high at cold start. i will do the cap n rotor on the weekend. thanks!

@volks, yes sir, forgot to blurr plates for the interwebs.

Could be a vacuum leak. Check your air lines coming from your intake manifold. Check your throttle cable is returning completely at the throttle body.

Thanks I check it & the throttle cable isn't returning right the car quit accelerating on its own already but I've checked in every auto parts store & no one sells a throttle cable for a 89 ef sedan do you know where I can get one at ?

$350 and it's yours. It's made for the sedan, not cut and welded, and is in great shape. Hard to come by. Sounds PHENOMENAL
