The Official EF Discussion Thread
Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
Well I removed those things where the seat belt would roll up into it so they fit pretty snug, they sort of hold it in place. The center console does not bolt up all that great. On my 88 the middle holes actually lined up but on the 91 they are way off. I will post some more pics tomorrow.

I know what you mean, just curious how it worked out. For the front half I ended up drilling a hole in the metal so the plastic would line up to take away the gap. Definately like them over the OE console. For my other 89 I want to locate a EDM console, but they are still pretty expensive and I can use that money for more important parts of the car.

Damn this place is dead.
I ended up getting the FLCA's with PCI bearings on, knuckles are off completely. Need to get the wheel bearings and ball joints pressed in. Also need to order a new driver side UCA. Ball joint in it is sloppy.

Replacing all the bushings on a 20+ year old car will make a huge difference! Trust me! Where is everybody? I'm out of the loop. Is HT not cool anymore?

Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
there seems to be more movement on the fb groups.
Only issue you seem to get the know it all's with this is how to fix your car (which it is not) or what I caught yesterday was a kid banned from the group for doing a fad thing to the hood of his car.
I actually thought it was funny cause I'm not a bandwagon type of guy.
His reply was they banned me from the group because of the way I did my hood (just outer skin)

Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
All forums are down, Facebook groups are up. It's a shame, the FB groups don't get indexed/archived like forums do, so when those groups get deleted or FB falls out of fashion, what little good info exists on those groups is gone.
If any of y'all care, there's pictures of our little FL CRX Meet in this link:

Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
And my buddy who keeps me involved in autox is moving back to Colorado on the 17th...
I'm still just tripping on the h2b but didnt have time to respond more, lol. I cant wait to get stuff set up here so I can work in the garage, lol. My tools are kinda buried behind all the stuff in the storage room in the garage until everything gets put away in the house, lol...
WE have to keep this place going...I hate FB and the like, lol...

A garage is good. I imagine it will be even better when its organized.
I'm with you on the FB thing. I don't have it and don't see the need.
Taking a brake on the car for the holidays. Next will be installing tie rods and taking the knuckles to a shop to press the ball joints and wheel bearings.

Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
I've pretty much taken a break from cars.
Unless it is needed maintenance, something about honey lets move to a different house.
So my focused changed from working on cars to fixing our house.
But on the plus side I get to build an additional garage/ workshop at the new house.

Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
I think the holidays we're all pretty much taking a bit of a hiatus, lol.
Nice reasons for many, at least its not permanent.
RBW, dang, nice to build a custom space huh?
I hear you coop.
I do have that autox coming up sunday, but my car develpoed an interesting issue last week or two. When I was in neutral, the shifter wouldnt easily move side to side. It was almost as if the shifter was gated?
It went into gear okay, and shifted fine in motion, but at a stop in neutral, it was stiff. I havent had a chance to get under it yet, but I know the trans itself is good, its a new/rebuilt unit from syncrotech. I think a shifter bushing or maybe a bolt loose?

Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
wow three posts in a row, lol!
Sad day gentlemen, Neuspeed has discontinued the famous Upper Strut tower bar! i had an order in through a vendor, and they informed me it was NLA.
Then i called NS themselves and confirmed. The last one they sold was early this year, so after the last batch was made, they quietly discontinued them.
I had my heart set on one - anyone got one they'd like to sell?

Can't believe they were made for so long. I think ill be leaning towards the vision bars. I know hmotors shows one on there page and ICB has them available as well. Also Evasive has the EM racing z bar still. Crazy to that still available. What a throwback.

Got bored of it, wanted something different. Having a hard time selling the shell though.
Thinking if it doesn't sell i'm going to drop in a serious motor and **** everybody up. My mind changes by the hour though its not even funny. I'm getting married and moving into my first home these next couple of months and I think about cars more than all that. It's ridiculous.

Got the house and girl still going to need a race car. A reason to get out of the house and into the garage. I say hold onto it and include her in the car and project.

Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
and as for thinking about cars, my wife says I think about cars so much, she doesnt worry about other women, cause I'm always looking at cars like guys look at centerfolds, lol.
Keep the shell. Usually you wont get much anyway, so might as well keep to play with.

I got the itch to start getting **** together for my sedan k project.
finally have all the stuff to do the brake line tuck, need a transmission and I can get the motor at least in the bay for a mock up of how it'll sit. im definitely hooked again, gonna shoot for next summer to have it running and looking good.

If you have space in the garage keep the shell.
my civic has painted hand prints from both my kids.
They are part of my build on it since both of them helped lower the motor in or help with a hand on it.
