I'm on them as well. Are you using the Type 1s or 2s? Also what don't you like about them? Could you go into a little detail? I've been trying to learn as much about suspension lately and personal driver feedback helps me learn. Thanks! Car looks awesome btw, I love your hatch.

Anyone have Ksports on their hatch? just wonderin how they ride for the price. I bought my project car with skunk2 coilovers on stock struts, not such a good combo.. Was wondering if i should go with F&F 1's or Ksport, or anything else in the 700-800 dollar price range, im open to ideas.

Ksports ride good but I wouldn't go with them. I've rode in one and it felt pretty good but I mainly hear quality construction issues with those(made in taiwan) I love my F&F 1s, they're a good mix between comfort and performance. You'll be able to tackle corners a lot more confidently and the ride will improve for sure. I just drove today with 32psi and it drove very nicely compared to sorta rough at 40psi. The Type 1s are really easy to adjust, come with a year warranty, are built very well and most people say they're great for the money and now that I have them, I can certainly agree.
I would suggest you check them out. I also hear that the Buddy Club N+ are really good too and those offer dampening adjustment. I would like to try those one day but I haven't heard anything bad about them. They're comfy at soft dampening and at hard they feel great at the track from what I have been told. Thats definitely a good pick too.
Ground control/koni is a widely used setup but you would need to pick out the correct spring rates for your application which might be difficult but most people think of this as a proven setup. I rode to IA in a car with them and they rode very responsively yet nice and comfy. I've been told that if you want to ride low and comfortable this is the way to go on a budget but it might be above your budget a little. I can vouch for that as the car was pretty low. You could also look into PIC Apex. These are a lot like the Type 1s as you can get them in the same spring rates or softer/stiffer. I would get PIC Selects if I had the money I think but PIC is known to make extremely high quality coilovers. You can't go wrong with PIC IMO. Finally you could research TEIN Basic. TEIN has been around for a long time and I see a lot of track/auto-x with them but I don't know much specifically about the basics.
If you want dampening adjustment go with BC N+, if you don't need it then I would probably go with PIC.

Koni Yellows with Ground control Coilovers.
Most "full coilovers" under $1000 are crap as far as the dampening goes. Konis are great, offer a full warranty and you can have them re valved any way you want. Also with the ground controls you can pick what ever EIBACH spring rate you want not what ever spring rate some low end company decides to give you.
Not sure if any on on here cares but GC and Eibach are both US companies which I like to support...........and you can also just call them up with questions! .......I know weird right??

You can tell im a little biased but im almost 31 and got my first aftermarket suspension at 17 so I have been through alot of setups on alot of different cars. Some stuff works excellent! and other stuff just works.
Re: ((((((((----EG Hatch Thread----PT 2 )))))))))
Chances are that the dampeners on your F&F's were made in the same factory as the K sports. I have heard that alot of these smaller coilover company's get their dampeners from one place then just use their own signature shiny colored bits. Do you really think either F&F or K sport has a large R&D department that designs, develops and tests their very own shocks?
You can actually CALL ground control and tell them your setup car and what you are using it for and their knowledgeable staff with years of experience will tell you what will work best with your car and what you want to do with it

Which setups do you have experience with. I also did not know you can call them and they'll help like that
