Love the dp set up. Reminds me of T1 S2000 from hell
For azenis since they don't make a 205/45 people either go wider/beefier w/ 215/45 (like d-rob has above) or the 205/40 but think the 40 series make them look rubber band is and way to thin. 215 would be the way to go if I had the choice.
I'd recommend 205/45 yokohama s.drives, nitto neogens or maybe a dunlop dz101. That's assuming the car will be used for occasionally spirited driving and nothing too serious.
I thought the 205/50 star specs were big (but loved the grip) I can imagine 225/50 will be crazy. Assuming you're running the same CE28s you've been having?

I had some BFG's Gforce somethings on my car before I tried the Nittos. They were a 205/40/16 compared to the 205/45/16 I am running now.
I could blow the tires off at 90mph and instantly hit rev limiter with the BFG's where the Nitto's dead hook.

My 225 Ziex 512 didn't like 3rd at all. But only decent tire I could find in 225/40/16
This time I will be on 16x7 225/45 in the rear & 15x7 up front with a 235/50 M&H.
I'll sell my 225/40/16 Falken Ziex 512 if anyone is interested.

Re: East Coast is the Right Coast - Let's try this again...
I've always thought for 16s a 205/45 is perfect for a 7" rim (thats what your CE28s are iirc), 215/45 for a 7.5 and 225/45 for a 8". Thats just me though.

Most people go with ordering cheap tires but wider and expect them to grip amazing... Those tires will still suck:p
At the moment yes i'll be running the same ce28's...

Random bad luck has kept this thing on the back burner but now with a daily I can take my time and get her back on the road!
But here's a old pic to try and motivate me lol . Unfortunately this was before I got ctr headlights and side markers.
