i know it wasnt your fault ben so no worries. but i do agree its not how you build your car, its if youre "in" with someone at the magazine. i dont subscribe to ht, when ive picked one up there has been some mickey mouse **** in them.
if i ever built another car worthy of a magazine i wouldnt want it in honda tuning for the fact of how cars are selected and the fact that i expressed my opinion about edick and his car...in an edick thread got my **** put on the back burner another year.

We had a fun *** shoot that day, long day for sure with ol smokey! Too bad it had to sit on the burner, as well as it being too bad that many cars sit on the burner or other bs. Whats not sad is trying to change things. Voices are only heard if they are spoken. If you sit back, act like your **** doesnt stink, and do not stand up to change things you can quietly slip in places. If you do stand up, as in your case in the Edick thread, it gets pushed back. Not here to throw anyone under the bus, I fought for that, what was featured, and also what continues to sit on shelves, and the fact is that magazines need to get back to a feeling we had long ago in the TMR days of 00 when I worked with them, not what we have today. Those were the glory days of magazines in my opinion.
This is also why magazines are so hit and miss now. But you will never please everyone, and which is why we all have choices to and not to purchase magazines or do whatever we are not into. This grouping up **** makes me sick.

You're right Ben, its easier for some to formulate opnions and group people with other people just by association. "You can please some of the people, some of the time....."

If I had a magazine, it would be slightly different than anything. Would be no building for it 1st off. 2nd off, I would show people things they dont see 200 times per day, someone actually rashing their parts.
I want to see some pics of those Alcon brakes a certain silver car has. Thats /thread right there.

there you go lumping those in upstate versus those in the city. Im sure those in buffalo or rochester that build cars don't operate as the fat guidos in Staten Island.

Blazed,
You and I do not have the best past. I was hoping that was squashed in Nashville by a handshake. I hope you posting that is not to down my intentions. No matter of how we have been I still say business is business and your car was perfect for what I wanted to do. Not sure of what goes into honda tuning editorial but it would be dumb to say your build is not a prime example.
Do not stand on turning my offer or better yes request to shoot your car to in any way include me in anything negative. Not looking for that bossman. Goes to anyone in this thread.
Casey. Still hate to see how that went down.

No reason for Popcorn. I still stand by what I said. I wouldve loved to put a build like Blazed build in there no matter what I think about him nor what he thinks about me. This Honda scene, especially our only publication, is no place to be picky nor have egos. Its about what people see and the work that went into the build. The story about it, behind it, the differences in the people, the uniqueness and attention to detail.
Years ago, shooting numerous cars, like Casey's ITR, Kevin's Ek coupe (a few people were with me on that shoot), Dave's Mid engine H22 Integra, Brents Integra, Pops cars in Florida, and about 80 other cars I saw people with good builds, good stories, that were not going in because of who they were nor where they were from.
I wanted to show off some cars from NYC and looked at all of the different groups there. Now no matter if that screen shot was just informative that Honda Tuning is not the place for Blazed in his opinion, or that he thought my offer was some bullshit and he didnt want part of it in his opinion, the eye to see a good placement in the magazine has to be applauded by anyone who knows him, or knows the work that went into that car.
No bad feelings here.

I'm sure there r many out there that say this, that, and the third and the moment such an offer is extended to them they swallow their pride and jump all over it . . well not every1 is the same and that was the main point of the screenshots. If and when I want to direct something at some1 specific I make it pretty clear; I'm sure u can vouch, as well as that scumbag editor of yours.
