Use a pickle fork to separate the ball joint.

PB Blaster spray and a large hammer. Those are a pain to get off and youll want to do the opposite to get them back on to keep the ball joint from rotating.

But you don't reuse the ball joint when installing a front camber kit, they come with new ones already installed on the upper control arm.

So? it doesnt change how the ball joint mounts at all... I'd still put the castle nuts on the ball joint threads to make sure the threads dont get banged up from the hammer in case you want to re use the stock UCA.

ALSO FOR IMPORT ALLIANCE!! Im going to take charge of the meetup spot and times. Everyone who wants to park together at IA meet a 7am at the Sonic in lebanon. There is a car wash next door so you can clean everything. We roll out from there at 7:30 prompt. If your late...well just dont be late.

:edit: Moved up the meeting time an hour earlier.

I bought a car cover at my local walmart and it is too big for my Sol, and it was the smallest size. I was wondering what car cover any fellow Soler uses and hopefully that fits well.

The rare blue Del Sol cover is not in my budget. lol. please let me know where you got it and how much..

Thank you

This is for all my boosted solers, do you need a resister box for a 94 sol and what's the deal with low and high impedence injectors. Anyone with a boosted sol please help me out. What injector setup are you using?

Im asking because I baught a set of lucas 440cc saturated injectors from clean-injection and my car runs like crap when i put them in, so i have been just running the stock ones on literaly no boost. my car hasnt been tuned and does not have a base map yet so im sure thats one of the reasons it runs crappy but with the 440's in, I can even get past 3k rpms. any help would be awsome
Im using dsm 450s which are peak and hold (low impedance) and DO need a resister box.
your using saturated injectors (high impedance) and DONT need a resister box.

some one correct me if im wrong

and did you do any tuning yet? its probly running like crap because you have to change the ecu to inject less fuel when you put larger injectors on. it might be dumping too much fuel into your engine

Got my Jackson Racing supercharger on my sol hell yeah!

Pulls insane and sounds sexy but....once you get into the 5k range it throws codes for map and tps. Will chipping the ecu fix this or what is wrong?

I have a obd-0 map sensor with a vac line hooked up to the supercharger. I thought they could read up to around 12 psi.

Anyone got any ideas?

Poor kabooki now has to undo $5k work of work to have a "fighting" chance at next years event.

Seemed like some of us younger kids were the black sheep in that event anyways. No one likes talking to me becase I've been basicly accused of every wrong doing. So far I've heard that i'm a theif, I over charge for parts, I don't mail parts, I have a short temper, I'm a liar, and blah blah blah. All bullshit.

Anyone actually takes the time to know me might actually like me. I get the bad rap and no I'm not playing the victim here I'm just stating facts. I'm the guy who will run to someones rescue if they need it. Me and Kabooki helped out another soler so he could drive home. His damn ignition went out and the only place who had it was 20 minutes away and closed at 2 and it was 1:40 on a Sunday. I flew up there so fast... We barely made it.

I didn't even ask for anything to repair it for him but he appreciated it so much that he bought my gas on the way home. That's a good friend who appreciates my efforts.

Ok so i'm done ranting. I'll never be apart of the team sol crowd, because i'm just not wanted there. It's ok, VI isn't my scene anyways.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep...my stock 92 transtop isnt actually stock. Just because I keep my interior minty and oem....what about the brand new 32 way coilover kit , ASR bar, F&F LCA's, EBC brake kit, custom wheel color and center caps, stereo system, etc etc. And for the record...all parts were brand new and installed days before the trip, including the tires meaning they all were still blinging when I arrived. My car won becuase all the sol owners voted for it. I drove the 2200 miles out there to be with my sol peeps...not for awards. You and KAbooki should have won.??..lol I told you son, Mugen parts doesnt make a car. Yours and Kabooki's car wasnt half as clean as mine. You guys pay no attention to detail...the small details that matter. This post is exactly why noone likes you or wants you around at the events. Ive already told you that I heard at least 20 people at VI say that they wish you would quit coming. And KAbooki...lol, you guys are like twins. You both have worn chips on your shoulders ever since you both got your rhd cars. You both are bad for the community and I know I..as well as multiple owners, would love to see you both sell your cars to more deserving owners. And I keep telling you guys...there are more TT owners than you even know about. Quit acting like your king cause you own a rhd. You didnt hear me brag 1 time in Vegas. It's not my style. In fact, the people I was staying with never even knew I had all the rear suspension parts becuase I never brought it up. I dont get high off of bragging like you and Kabooki. Eat these compliments on your car up becuase pictures always makes cars look cleaner than they are. Difference in mine and the two of yours....mine looks good upon very close inspection. Did we mention the borrowed "d" series that you came with?? And you should have won??

Heres my favorite quote from Kabooki as a fellow sol owner was giving him a compliment at Vegas Invasion:

sol owner: "Great job on your turbo set up...looks good"
Kabooki: "Yeah..it will do"

I literally had to walk away when I heard the cocky attitude. That's exactly why I didnt hang with you guys or even have my Transtop share a photo with both of yours. I can't stand people with attitudes like yours. Well, good luck next year (if you are allowed to come)

This reply was in no way a brag session but merely speaking the truth. I hate drama and people like this that cry about not winning an award. I would have been just as happy going home with nothing at all. It was the best time Ive ever had with my sol. You guys have horrible, childlike attitudes and dont get it.

P.S. I plan on dropping about another 6-8 grand in my car before next years event...bring it

And a parting pic of my Best Sol winner at Vegas Invasion...eat it Booki and Rev

Oh and last time I checked Building your car to get attention is fail. Build it to be what you want it to be and you wont care who won what because you'll already own the car you dream of.

You hit the nail on the head. On that note, I'm hoping my coilovers will show up today or tomorrow. This stock ride height and a closet full of parts not able to go on is killing me!

I bet

my post was 100% sarcastic. lol. I'm glad you won Best Sol, you certainly have a really nice car, and I didn't notice the mods. I tried talking to you but you kinda blew me off (no homo), if you would have actually taken the time to know me and what i'm really about, then you'd have a totally different opinion about me.

If I can help with something I'll be there. Ask any of my friends who come over to my house every Sunday which is "Fix a Sol day" here. All I do is work on del Sols because I've been working on thes cars for years and I know them like the back of my hand. How else could I have dismantled a del sol by myself , paint it and reassemble it? I know my stuff.

I don't brag to be top ramen, so I'm sorry you felt that way. I love my car and I built it the way I see perfection. I spent crazy amounts of money to get all the rare parts, to complete the vision I had for my car. I am very proud of my car so please don't confuse pride with arrogance.

I don't need tsc's approval, nor yours. I'm sorry we can't be friends, I even offered to help you find parts, and I got your number remember?

For a guy who says he's not into bragging, why mention that your dropping $8k into your car so "bring it"? I'm not in a contest with you lol.

Right now I'm dealing with Juan's death, and I'm making arrangments to attend his funeral. I love my dsoc friends, and consider them family. Don't tell me I don't deserve my sol, I love this car, it's my baby.

xide 12, you have it reversed. If you are using dsm 350s you need a resistor box. Saturated injectors are for obd-1 and on which do not need a resistor box.

Look Sean, I know you seemed cool in person, but that is bullshit and you know it.

You may not be that way now... but Im very doubtfull of people and their ability to change.

And as far as being accused of all that; maybe there is a very good reason for those to think that. Public record my friend.

What's bs? I don't get it Chris.

It hurts me to hear these things being said about me. And I catch **** over trying to defend myself against allagations.

My Ex even said, Why even go to these things, why help people when all they do is just bash you. I go because I try to overcome the stereotype that has been built around me. I used to be a dick on the forums but that was years ago and natually I've done a lot of growing up, and I've been trying to show people that I am different.

But public record? I've never cheated anyone, or overcharged anyone, or stole from anyone. Show me where I have made an outright blatent error against a fellow soler.

I defend myself against these lies. I can be ******* sure, but that's the extent of my bad side.

You completely overcharge for parts.

I remember trying to get a 93 glovebox from you, and you said you were going to charge 15% or something of OEM dealer cost. So that would have put the glovebox at like $15.

So what did you do when I asked to buy it? You said you'd do $50 shipped.

That's scummy.

Yeah, I did say that. AND I WAS BULLSHITTING! I was simply joking around and enjoying myself at the meet. If you HAD stuck around you would have heard me explain what else I was trying to get finished on that setup but did not have time.

Ok, lets be reasonable here.. The top quote taken from the prior page you implied was "100% sarcastic"

That sir, is bullshit.

As far as why people accuse you of other things, and I never specified against a Soler. I can only see what Public Record shows and its not exactly great but since you asked...

All info is public record and legit.
State Of Arizona, MARICOPA COUNTY

http://www.azcorrections.gov/inmate_...rtLength=TOP_5

http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.go...=CR2002-020948

Basicly what I read into that is that youre accused of fraud, theft, et al. and pled not guilty...

Accepted a plea agreement and went on probation.

Violated probation and served time for attempt to commit fraud.

Did I miss anything?
