Mine sits just under 1/2 way. It usually only takes 5-10 minutes depending on the temp outside. I had an issue once where the t-stat was stuck open and it would take forever to warm up, if it ever did get warmed. I would drive 30 min to work and it still wouldnt be fully warmed. Why do you ask?

Put the WS2 on today and after having the N1 on for so long it sounds like a stock exhaust to me, I kind of like it.

Seems like what's happening to mine; seems like it takes forever to warm up. Drive long enough and it will warm up though. But even once warmed up…*still no vtec… this motor is gutless w/out it (but no where no as gutless as the b16a2 was LOL)

For sure I'll post one, I need to show the Db some cleaning love first. She's been sitting in the garage not being driven much (no ac right now) and I hadn't kept up to well keeping her clean.

That's strange. I don't think they would be related. I would def. check for a stuck thermostat. That's one of the only reasons for it to not warm up. And this may be a gimme, but have you checked the oil level? When I first started "Vtec'n" I didn't realize I would burn so much oil with my "spirited" driving. I replaced all kinda spit (a full out tune-up, plugs wires etc) before I realized I was just low on oil. Dammitman...

Defintely checked the oil levels…*due to lack of funds one thing I haven't done since I've purchased it was change the oil. That said…*it doesn't "look" dirty…*and it's definitely NOT low…*in fact …*maybe there is TOO much in there? Oil level been like that since I got it…*it's above the 'high' mark.

After some more driving around last night though…*it just does NOT warm up at all. Good call on the stuck t-stat DB Fam!! When I get some money I'll be buying another one…*any recommendations?

My friend works @ O'Reily Auto and can get me discounts. THey carry 2…*some cheap $9 one and a more expensive $28 MotoRad® Fail Safe® - Thermostat —*apply my friends discount and I'll get the $28 one for cheaper (dunno the price yet).

I'd go to Honda/Acura & purchase one but …*every dollar I can save right now is crucial…*hence going the O'Reily friend discount route lol

wassup guys! hows everybody doin? Got some news! first off, my homie with a dc2 got pulled over. hood popped and a missing vin tag on his tranny. ofcourse he got a ticket for that so I checked my car if I have it and NO I DONT! now im scared to get pulled over! Is there anyway I could get a replacement one? TIA

Very good question... Pretty sure you can get a replacement one but I don't think it will be quick to receive one due to not knowing the origins of the transmission w/o the vin tag. Hopefully someone can chime in about this.

gotta know what year the tranny is. 94-95 integras didnt have vin #s on the tranny nor did the jdm trans.

Is this also the case for the block? I remember on my EM1 that there was one on the bottom of the block by the header juss above the oil pan... I didn't see one on my 95 DB8 when I was putting on the replacement AC compressor

yes. block and trans doesnt have VINs. the tranny had a sticker, but over time it peels off easily.

Match its vin # to the dash board or even firewall... If they match identically its the original motor to the car.

Yeah the 16"s are in better shape then my current ones so I'll get the new ones powder coated in GM so I can redo my white ones. I picked up the 15's for $200 so I couldn't pass them up.
