I need to hurry up and paint my car already! Ok guys the bushings on my blox camber kit are just about shot by now. I'm surprised that they lasted me this long but I don't want to use blox bushings because they suck so will skunk2 bushings work or any other that you guys would recommend

Why? Because I've already removed/installed my front bumper at least 4x already when doing my projector retrofit. I'll be taking it off again soon to install my fog lights. Can you imagine all the possible scuffs + scratches I could have caused to a freshly painted bumper? Still even considering doing the 99-00 front end conversion...
Also, I haven't decided what kind of front/rear lips I want, and when I do, I'll want them painted body color.
So once I've made all those decisions, then I'll paint my car. But then I'll also have to decide what color to paint it... Lol.

I'd suggest paint as the very last thing you do, once you've completed everything you'd possibly want to do to the body/interior/exterior. That's what I plan to do as my very last step - paint.

Fabric is felt, its thicker than the oem fabric...but I dont think I'll use that next time since anything can pull the threads out. I got it at Joanns for 4.99/yd. They have the headliner fabric also which comes with the foam, but that was way out of budget (14.99/yd). Total cost out of my pocket was 20 bucks for the fabric (2yds) and a can of headliner adhesive.
If you go this route, one can is barely enough, I'd buy 2 just in case. Also make sure you have a coupon for 40% off because they let you apply that to EACH item you purchase and not just the total price or single item

yup, it was A LOT easier than I had expected. You can definitely do this alone, but it helps a lot more with 1 extra person when you're gluing the fabric down. I'll get some pics tomorrow. I did an okay job though since I did this myself for the first time (very inexperienced) haha, but it came out better than I expected. Total cost out of my pocket was just under 20 bucks

What! You just crushed me haha that's dope man. What made you go that color? Well in that case ill be the first 98 Ej6 lol kidding.
You got more pics? Or a link where I can see pics. I thought I was gonna be special thinking I would be the 1st but I guess ppl are right "everything has been done before."
Anyways, what did you guys tackle first in your goal list? I'm undecided. Paint or suspension.
Btw the DAP sedan looks awesome. It's exactly how I pictured mine to look; big fan.

Just go DAP too. It doesnt bother me at all. Like I said, it was ur vision. Just so happened that I had d same one too. So what? Its a beautiful color on a sedan. Do it so I can regret selling mine some more haha
Our shop (finalspeed) might even have a barbeque on march...
That background looks really familiar, imma guess its either Lake LA or little rock ?! I know for sure its in the Antelope Valley, anyways the whip looks fresh and reminds me when i first got mines...

It's actually surprising how many DIY projects you can do with stuff you can buy at a fabric store (I bought my door panel fabric, sound deadening foam, spray adhesive, etc). And all these years I thought fabrics stores were for women lol

hey guys, Glad you're keeping the thread alive. I have a tech question. I pretty much gave up on my dreams of racing out my sedan, that being said, the work I've already put in(JDM tranny, koni/nuespeed suspension, V2 intake etc.) has left me satisfied and I have the speeding tickets to prove it.
Which brings me to my question, my radiator needs to be replaced, do you think it's worth it to get a Mishimoto or Black Works, or just go stock/aftermarket?

But for basic daily duties, OEM double row does the trick.

Thanks for the reply, don't mean to sound daft, but what is the double row?

I've read some good things about Go Autoworks, but it looks like they only have half sizes, is that what comes with the d16y7 anyways?
