Re: (jdmeg693)
quick question guys.. my brake light in my cluster lights up almost every time i take off from a stop. i found out it was most likely due to low brake fluid or a leak.. so i checked my fluid and it was basically right above the minimum line. anyway, this was a month or more ago. i stopped by autozone and picked up some Prestone DOT3 brake fluid today and checked mine again and it was exactly where it was before so i think a leak can be ruled out somewhat..
anyway, reading the manual, it says do not use anything but Honda brake fluid.. so heres my question..
is it alright to fill up my brake fluid resevoir (sp?) with the prestone brake fluid and see how that goes? i mean, the brakes feel the same and i hear no grinding or screeching when i brake. it only seems like my brake fluid got low. i mean, its a 2000 and the fluids probably never been touched
