which tyre size for 15x7 wheel ?
i just got a set of buddy club p1's and need some tyres . im looking at yokohama A048's
the car gets driven pretty hard and was wanting 205's for more grip. my choices are
205/60/15 which im not sure about the 60 profile ?. £107 ($214) each
205/50/15 which i think would be right £137 ($274) each
195/55/15
195/50/15 both $214 each
any one got any experiance with these tyres ?. will 205/60/15 be to big and balloon like?

The best tire size depends on the car it will be used on, not just on the wheels.
What kind of car is this for? What is the stock tire size for that car?
I suggest you get one of today's supersticky tires, tires that can be used on public roads as well as on the racetrack. Which one depends on the best tire size for your car (see above). Once we figure that out, we can tell you which tire(s) are available in that size.

The '92-95 Civic hatchback came from the factory with 175/70-13 or 165/80-13 tires, depending on model. The best 15" size for a '92-95 Civic hatchback is 195/50-15. The other sizes mentioned here are just too big; they will throw off the accuracy of your speedometer, reduce your car's rate of acceleration (like getting taller gears), and may rub.
Fortunately, several of today's supersticky street tires - tires designed to be able to be used on public roads as well as on the racetrack - are available in 195/50-15, including two of the best, pictured below: the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R, and the Toyo Proxes R1R. I don't know if they're available in the UK. I've also heard of a Bridgestone tire called the RE11 or RE11S that's supposed to be good, but we don't get it here in North America.
Another tire that's very, very good and is available in 195/50-15 is the Goodyear F1 GS-D3. It beat all the other top summer tires in a comparison test a couple of years ago. It's not quite as good as the supersticky tires on dry pavement, but it's darn close; in return, it's much, much better in rain (important in the UK!) and lasts a lot longer (like 2+ times as many miles).

Yes. Most 195/50-15 tires are approved for rims 5.5-7.0 inches wide, so you should be fine.
