Stripper + Rubber... is it safe?

Stripper + Rubber... is it safe?
Is it safe to use aircrafter stripper on a rim, that has a tire mounted on it? I understand not to pour the stripper on the tire, but I worried it will seep in between the tire and the rim. Is this anything to worry about?

Are you stripping the whole rim or just a small part? If it is the whole rim then I would advise your to remove the tire. It is unclear at best how the solvent will react with the rubber but chances are it will not be in a good way.

Re: (Maxpower350)
haha sorry about the thread title guys I diddn't plan on pouring the stripper, I'm either gonna use a brush, or a little spray bottle. I was just wondering how the chemicals would react with the tires.

See, it had not visual effect. It may have had an unseen chemical effect. I would still recommend against it. Besides it will be easier to work with and paint afterwards if you have the tires removed. Just my 0.02
Cheers.
