Oh i know, i'm a fairly regular member around there although i rarely post anymore. I'm not knocking the forum...just pointing out that some of the guys come up with "innovative" ways to build things.

Re: Worst Fabrication Pictures (ImportHatch)
This one is from honda-tech. To his defense at least he knew the welds look like sh$$, he was going for a "ghetto rigged" e-cutout.

Re: Worst Fabrication Pictures (KENetics1)
i never thought of using a throttle body for a cut-out but that looks like a good idea, but with good welds though

Re: (Tippyman)
half of these "horrible" fabrication pieces are just flux core welds that have not been cleaned.
you guys don't know waht a flux core welder is?
its like mig wire but with shelf shieleded flux on it similar to stick welding. almost all mig machines can weld flux cored wire, and there is even flux cored gas welding for more penetration.
hardfacing camshafts mostly use fluc cored welding

Thanks for enlightening us on what a Flux Cored welder is.
Being that this is in the Welding/Fabrication forum, I'm sure some of the more experienced welders are happy to learn that kind of new information every day.
