Default K series bellhousing specs

Does anybody have a diagram of the K series bellhousing bolt pattern and crank centerline? I've got a couple ideas but need a diagram...I'm willing to pay for one if you have it.

We are going to see how feasable it would be to make a RWD bellhousing adapter for a RWD transmission.

have you maybe considered that it's not going into a FWD car? guy could be putting it into a jeep or a sandrail... you just never know... if you don't have an answer to his question, then please don't post telling him essentially to forget about it

Something like that. It's going into a 32 ford.

How is it gay?

A lot of people put chevy engines in old fords, how is this any different?

Alot of times a normal V8 won't fit unless you take the covers off the side of the engine bay. A 4 cylinder would work great in this application. We are also working on the design for RWD pro outlaw cars and whatever else needs a RWD honda powered drivetrain.

Can't you just use the engine also from the S2000, or does it have to be a K20A for whatever reason?

K series is cheaper and easier to find.

K20A, K20A2, K20A3, K24A1, K24A2, etc.

I want to put a B18 or B16 honda engine in my s10, The s10 used to be a 2.2L but the engine finally died. I want to replace with the honda enginebecause the aftermarket worl offers so many performance parts for the honda engines. I need to find a rwd trans that will bolt up to this block. will the s2000 trans work or does someone make an adapter to bolt up some sort of rwd trans to the hond engine

What kind of car is this "S10"? I see an image of a Chevrolet pickup in my head for some reason.

S10 Pickup. A B series will not work, as they are a reverse rotation engine compared to the S or K motors, which is the same as all the RWD stuff. A B series would need a reverse rotation rear end in order to go foward instead of backward.

i just bought a bell housing from acura list price is $329 or so
i am going to mate it up to a T50 transmisson (toyota)
these trannies are a little weak
but my car came with one stock
so if i need to upgrade later (W58 early supra)
i will just make another custom bellhousing
so if you need any measurements or photos
send me an e-mail

Very nice. What exact setup did you have in mind? K20A + RWD Toyota gearbox, for example? Are you planning on making different bellhousings to mate the K20A to several different RWD gearboxes? But I was thinking that one might as well use the entire S2000 F20C drivetrain, like Hot Staff and the others that put the F20C into the AE86. However, that required lots of cutting of the firewall and the area back to the shifter due to the bulky size of the F20C transmission and the very far rearward positioned engine. In that sense, one could be "OK" with the engine where the old 4A-GE used to be, with an adapter plate to fit the K20A to the stock T50 (?) gearbox. That is less work and most likely alot cheaper, but the cons include a gearbox that is weaker, has less gears and a less than optimal position of the engine (not far enough rear to be competative against Formula One and JGTC cars.

That was all basically AE86 stuff. What were your specific plans again?

Currently we are planning to use a T5 trans out of a Mustang for a couple of reasons: They are cheap, easily available, easy to upgrade, and cheap to rebuild. We are also doing this for the other side of our business which focuses on hot rods. Some guys don't have room for a SBC or SBF in their cars, which leads them to use a sub-par engine. With a K series available to put in they can have reliability and good gas mileage.

well for ease of MY own swap i was going to use a T50 toyota trans
and then i was thinking about getting a bellhosung made for the W55/W58 trans
which came out of earlier supra's
they can be had for 75~125 bucks at the local pull it your self style junk yards
and these cars are plentiful in my area i could easily go and pull 5 in a day if needed

but first i need to get the flywheel and starter mess out of the way

i would like to know this to. i been thinking about it for yrs and id like to finally do it. i use to have a old sq body chevy s10 and when my motor blew i wanted to put a honda vtec motor in it. well i dont have that truck anymore but i can get one cheap. i read the k motors are a vtec motor that rotates in the right direction, so the question is what trans do i need and what bell housing. i want to do as cheap as i can but i need to know what parts to build from. i can do the work.
