Default gas lens setup?

i have a thermal arc arcmaster 185 and i want to upgrade to a gas lens. i cant find any info on what i need to buy or what size my torch is. could someone list all the parts i need to use a gas lens. i think i need a gas lens collet body, a gas lens and an alumina cup for a gas lens.

you have a number 17 torch.

go into any local welding supple store and tell them you want a gas lens for a no.17

you will need a gas lens with is the actual collet body, you can reuse your normal collets and you need new cups and you will also need a little adapter fitting, i can't for the life of me remember what it is called but it is that little white ring that sits at the base of the torch, you will need one for a gas lens and it pretty much stacks on top of your existing one.

even after shipping? seems like a hassle for something so small

i bought my 1/16 and 3/32 lenses from a welding supply store in michigan for like 8 or 9 dollars each, cups are like a buck or two each.

i bought the smaller diameter gas lens though so maybe that is pricey.

Insulator

I wait and buy a lot of stuff online VS the local welding store, I'm paying about half what this stuff would go for at the welding store. If it a part here and there, I buy local.
