NOT GOING INTO GEAR @ HIGH RPM AND SHIFTS FINE @ LOWER RPM!!!
Ok so this is what happenend
Tranny was shifting perfect up to this point. I came out the whole hard shifted from 1st to 2nd @9000rpm with no problem then shifted from 2nd to 3rd and it didnt want to go in gear @9000RPM. Tried it again same thing was happening. At this point it was hard to get into reverse when i came to a stop and also the shifter felt stiffer then usual. I let the car cool down then made my way home and didnt notice anything else. Next day on my way to work i noticed @ any RPM from 1st to 2nd i have no problem shifting but from 2nd thru 5th it grinds when i shift above 4K RPM. What could have went bad???
My clutch is Exedy stage1 with a fair amount of miles on it but does not slip at all
I use GM synchromesh friction modified (fluid level is ok with 15K miles)
FYI I have a hydro B series tranny. 1st,2nd and 3rd gears are from a b16 and 4th and 5th are from a GSR.

I'm thinking its the synchros so I plan on getting synchrotech kit 1-5 carbon synchros and changing the clutch while I'm at it.

At least take it apart and look at it before ordering parts. Trans rebuilds can get expensive, sometimes its easier to just find a used replacement if there are enough parts that need replacing.

Mista Bone it clearly says "FYI I have a Bseries tranny" at the end of the thread so theirs your first clue! If you need me to be more specific as to what type(b16,GSR,TypeR) of B series tranny then that's a different story.

The only thing i edited was "1st,2nd and 3rd gears are from a b16 and 4th and 5th are from a GSR."
Its all good tho no worries. I put up the thread to see if ppl have had similar issues and see what they found out, not for Honda tech to spoon feed me how to fix it. If thats how i came across ill be more specific next thread i put up.
