Aftermarket B series looong 5th gear
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Accord...ZV6h6M&vxp=mtr
Anyone have any experience with this gear set? I am in need of a long 5th gear, and before I spend $150 on a new LS set, I thought I would look around first. I do lots of 4+ hour highway trips usually cruising at 80+, so any rpm drop I can get is an ear saver!
I have plenty of engine to pull the longer gear as well. I currently have a cable b16 trans with a .742 5th and 4.4 final drive. I am building a YS1 with B16 1-4 and LS final drive, just deciding between a .714 LS 5th, or this .694

Re: Aftermarket B series looong 5th gear
That's not an aftermarket gear. That's an 86-89 accord 5th gear, and fits the 1st gen integra transmission, possibly prelude transmissions from that era.
The listing is total **** basically. I highly doubt that gear would work in a B series trans. they claim it's for a 90+ prelude, accord, integra, but integra and lude/accord stuff don't swap afaik!
