94 accord auto transmission slipping
Hi hopefully someone can give me some help on this issue.
Problem:
Transmission slips from 2nd to 3rd.
When driving if i am very light on the gas, it will sometimes shift 2nd to third.
If i press on the gas medium to hard, the engine will just rev and slip into neutral.
If i do reach 3rd gear, I can get into 4th gear fine.
I changed the transmission fluid with oem honda fluid.
Then a week later Flushed by draining/filling 2 times in a row(started engine on stands and let it go thru gears including reverse in between changes)
Each time I did the fluid change or flush, that "fixed" the issue temporarily for a couple of days, then it starts slipping again after that.
I checked the 2 solenoids on front of the transmission , they measured 29 ohms, removed them then cleaned them by spraying carb cleaner in the ports while connecting them to battery on each connector. Each solenoid also clicks when voltage is applied.
I do not have anything blinking on the dash (d4) but when I jump the service connector I am reading transmission error code 15.
Also I replaced the speed sensor with a knock off a couple months back that i bought "new" on ebay. Speedometer and tachometer work fine. Transmission fluid level is good.
All these issues started shortly after a couple of 300+ mile trips. the engine/trans have 350k currently. Should I replace the speed sensor again with another one? Would my speedometer and rpm gauge continue to work with a bad speed sensor if that was the case? or is there anything else I can check without a rebuild/teardown?
Sorry for the long post , I mostly lurk on here.

Re: 94 accord auto transmission slipping
If you experience slippage in only one gear (3rd), the frictions are probably worn out, or you have a hydraulic problem relating to 3rd gear (IE leaking piston seals, accumulator, etc).
No solenoid (unless you have a DTC), an no fluid will correct a condition in which the clutch frictions are worn beyond the service limit.
Since you went the way of testing without knowing what you were testing for, reset the TCM and see if the code comes back. Code 15 will not cause your vehicle to mis-shift or fail to shift into any gear.
