Default putting in new syncros. need know how

ok so i have an B18b1 motor and the tranny pretty much went :- ( it all started with a 3rd gear grind with high rpms. then it when to a grind regularly in to 3rd. then it would barley go in to gear and if it did, it would pop out of gear. so what i have here is a debate wither or not it's worth rebuilding this tranny with new syncros if this is the problem.
*do you think the gears are still good from the grinds?
*is it the syncros?
*any info on how to do this syncro swap would be awesome.

PLZ help!!!

You'll need to replace the following to fix the 3rd gear issue:
1.) 3rd-4th gear synchro set
2.) mainshaft 3rd gear (if it's not already included in the 3-4 synchro set)
3.) 3rd gear synchro spring

You may also need to replace the following:
1.) differential bearings
2.) clutch housing mainshaft bearing & seal
3.) mainshaft bearing (opposite end to the other bearing)
4.) 3-4 shift fork
5.) any other worn or damaged bearings, gears, synchros, shift forks

care to explain specifically why he needs to replace all those parts besides the 3/4 synchro set?

why would he need to blow the money on a 3-4 shift fork for example ?

Inspect worn parts, but sounds like you most certainly need 3-4 sleeve set which includes 3rd and 4th gear synchros and synchro springs.

The gear is NOT included in the sleeve set and shouldnt be changed unless it is damaged

Shift forks do wear where they contact the synchro sleeve. In a lot of transmissions that I've seen where the synchros were dead, the shift forks also had a lot of wear.

I've forgotten that the synchro springs are included with the synchro set. There's no need to purchase them separately.

I believe the sleeve set is part #
23623-P21-315 and the same for all hydraulic B series trannies. It costs 163$ from HondaPartsDeals.com or 225$ from GearSpeedInc
