dings
what are some ways to remove tiney dings? i have one on my car thats about two inches long, and its a very shallow ding...i heard putting dry ice directly on the ding will pop it back out without affecting the paint, but i don't know if its true--he said it worked on his miata...what do you guys think?

Actually, it REALLY depends on the small ding or dent.
My friend has a 68 mustang fast back and bought it with a buttload of dents on the roof, and they used a heated torch that popped out the dents/dings due to the metal expanding and looks beautiful.
There is also bondo you can put on it, and sand it.
you can also put a small drill bit in there, then get a dent puller and pull it out, then bondo the hole.
As for not affecting the paint, I haven't heard of the dry ice method, but that could work

Well I know of places that do paintless dent removal, where they actually travel to you and pop the dents out on your car. My friends dad had it done on his F350 on some door and hood dings, and the damn thing looks like it was never touched. Look into something like that; i'd like to think it's not just a Florida thing...

Re: dings (Hybrid Invasion)
ok heres the scoop. First have the metal at a warm temp. Nothing to hot. Lets say you have a coupe and theres that nasty ding in the rear quarter panel.
Pull back the lining in the trunk exposing the backside of the dent. Grab a tablespoon (nothing smaller) and with the curved smooth side of the spoon lightly rub the backside of the dent. Try and keep the spoon centered on the middle of the dent.
Always keep your eye on the dent itself on the outside of the car. Keep rubbing the spoon (if you have to at this point use a slight more bit of force) over the dent (ding) until it goes away.
Once the ding is gone remember to the put the spoon in the sink or your wife will threaten you. (not that it's happened to me or anything)

Re: dings (mey_xanng)
I would also suggest paintless car repair, another Teg owner did it and got 3 dings out for only $80, and as said looks new
