Bought used clutch for the R tranny.
im in the process of changing my clutch. THE clutch on it now is HISTORY
anyhow i bought a used toda clutch kit wiht lightweight flywheel was seeing if you guys can tell from the pictures below if the clutch disc looks reusable and the flywheel? does the flywheel look like it will need to be resurface?
Ive also bought an exedy stage one kit just in case. that includes the clutch disc, pressure plate, Throw-out Bearing, ACT Pilot Bearing,Alignment tool
Thanks Pat, any info would happily appreciated.

that pressure plate and flywheel look fucked up. wayyyyyy to many hot spots on both.......hope you didn't pay much for that stuff.......looks like a really expensive paper weight......
although you can probably have the flywheel machined........but that pressure plate is junk.....and if that is the disc that came with it I'm sure its toast too.

Nahh didnt spend more than 150. basically just paid for the flywheel.
I dont know clutches like that so i wouldnt know whats bad or not. asked here, you guys know whats toasted, warped, bad then and this the clutch is done? the flywheel looks alright, maybe getting it resurfaced would make it worth wat i spent?
thanks for the input

DEFINITELY RESURFACE IT
it's not that big of a deal,
and honestly, if you're swapping parts around you're going to want to resurface anyways.
I tried reusing my pressure plate without resurfacing it, it looked fine, but I've had problems on cold starts with it.
urs looks funny, but it'll be just fine once resurfaced.
do the pp and flywheel and u should be good to go.

THanks, can't wait to replace the clutch, im sighest. The clutch that came with my swap was a piece of junk. Overkill, harsh engagement, high revs to get it going. I was told it was a guriella clutch. Dont know what the japs was thinking

Re: (h8ted ek)
you can normally get away with buying used flywheels, but i would stay away from clutches for the future. im sure a local napa can resurface that flywheel quick. napa here in NY charged me 30 bucks
