Anyone ever had Tein fix a coilover? How are they?
Before I shell out $875 for Tein SS coilovers I e-mailed Tein with a couple questions. I couldn't find any information about the warranty on the coilovers so here's what I wrote (Friday):
Hi,
I am wondering about the warranty on the Tein SS coilovers. I have a
93 Honda Civic hatchback with a GSR motor so I'm looking to get the teg's
SS (DC2) (stiffer spring rates is what I hear) for my Hybrid. I would
like to drop it like your sample pics show the green teg on your web site. I
imagine that should be ok for daily driving and occasional drag racing.
If any problems do occur how are the coilovers serviced?
Thanks for any info you can give me on this!
Tein's repsonse 3 days later (Monday)
[i]"To Jonathan:
In regards to your question. All of our dampers come with a 1 year
warranty
against any manufacture defect. In case anything was to ever happen to
the
dampers, they can be sent
back to us here to be overhauled. We provide this in-house service. The
retail price to Overhaul your Super Street damper is $75 per shock not
including any accessories parts that is needed to be replace. Please
contact anyone of our sales at the office for further assistance.

Anyone had Tein fix a coilover? How was the turn-around? Was the work guaranteed for another year?
What do you guys think?
