Differences between EF, EG, DC rear lower arms [PICS]
i'd like to just show everyone the difference between rear lower control arms from EF, EG and DC models. Nothing new or different than what we've been saying, but im hoping pics make it easier for people to understand and remember so we dont have to repeat the same info.
HIGHLIGHTS:
-EF, EG and DC arms have the SAME geometry between bushings.
-DA arms have the SHOCK bushing more inboard.
-DC and DA arms have stiffer looking bushings and stronger shape.
-EF and EG arms are very similar, pretty much identical.
-DA arms are NOT longer.
-EK arms are completely different. (not pictured, maybe some other time)
Mismatch
Lastly, as a side note:
its a little more obvious when you see it up close, the bushing was clearly stretched in a circular direction because it was not zero'd out.

Great Info Tyson. You should compare oem EK rear lower arms to these just to show the honda-tech.com masses how much different they are as well.

I have both EG/DC LCA's and EK LCA's sitting in the garage lol. If you want a set just LMK we can figure out how much shipping is and thats it.

show a pic of the dc vs eg i just got a set of 2000 integra arms for my 93 del sol i didnt pull the arms off my del sol but matched the teg arms up to the arms on the car and it looked the same. id like to be sure they were similar before going through all the trouble of pulling them off my car thanks.
never mind i read like a 2 year old and only looked at the pictures. just read the top and see that they are the same thanks

did we ever get EK arm comparison? how about measurements? i believe i saw blueprints of the arms drawn with accurate measuremnts.

Re: Differences between EF, EG, DC rear lower arms [PICS]
I went to a local JDM parts an motor distributor and the EF control arms are not in fact identical or even remotely interchangeable. The EG control arms they had in stock had a vertical whole that I presume to be the frame mount point rather on EFs it is a horizontal threaded mount. I asked if they could have been front LCAs he assured me they were rear lowers. Could this be a JDM/USDM difference?
I'm trying to determine whether the distributor had another model LCA that he infanct misinterpreted as an EG LCA or if this disproves this thread all together.

Tyson, you clearly don't know anything about Civic suspensions
I've mentioned this in a couple of other threads lately, but might as well bring it up here too.
There is also another variety which, in the US at least, is the Del Sol VTEC arm. It has the smaller "EG" bushings but retains the abs and sway bar provisions:
Not sure if the markings on the arms are different, but they even have almost the same part number, save for the suffix... GS-R is -G31 and Del Sol is -G21
I'd venture a guess that these are the same as what came on sway-bar equipped (SiR II, etc.) overseas.

Re: Differences between EF, EG, DC rear lower arms [PICS]
provisions for swaybar and abs holes dont change the geometry of the bushings. my photos inadvertently show that.
lay your del sol abs control arms next to non abs or any other control arm and snap a pic and post it.
it wont disprove this thread. lololol

Right. Geometry is the same, save for DA/EK, I was just pointing out that the bushing diameter is different for the integra arms.
