What I do the tech right there at the track for HPDE 1, 2 & 3. You can do your own pre-tech and then have them tech it at the track. Don't pay $110 to get a pre-tech. Call your regional director.

??? NASA sometimes charge me $40 when I tech at track and then sometimes they don't. If I recall correctly, pre-tech at a location listed on NASA website should be free and if there is no location near you, NASA track tech is free. But yeah, call your regional director for direction.

Re: Nasa Pre-tech (Fomoco)
how experienced of a mechanic are you?if you can handle it,check out everything yourself.if not, take it to a trusted mechanic.whichever way you go,make sure the car is in good shape before you go the track-some techs i've seen are a joke, and i wouldn't count on them catching something potentially dangerous.

Your best bet is find a NASA authorized place, it makes the morning go by so much quicker. I show up with my signed papers, and they let me go.. Except at the autobhan the 12 year thought i was hawt...
