Live race report from thunderhill.
Jonathan at home sound asleep????
We spent an obscene amount of money on race fuel.
That's just for practice and testing tomorrow.
Mauricio, James and me are trying to sleep but some monkey is using dremel tool next to us and hacking away at his chassis in a prototype car
It's 10:53pm

What class is the car? and who is the competition?. I just realize you are in the crew Paul, I was going to go to help Jeremy but had something to do this weekend that was not planned. Anyway have fun and don't let those Socal guys party too much before the race.

Practice today went well. No incidents, everything is still in one piece.
Jonathan did a great job teaching the kiwis the technical aspects of thunderhill.
Tomorrow we will get these guys more seat time and qualify the car.
After 6pm we'll put on the light bar that has enough candle power to melt iron, and let them see what it's like to drive this place in the dark.
Lots of work to do tomorrow final prep day before the 25.
Great bunch to work with. Lots of fun.
Sleep time.

Sorry for the lack of updates guys.
We had an accident at about 230 this afternoon.
Exiting turn 7 the car rolled over about 5 times.
Richard is fine and staying overnight at a local hospital with a concussion and banged up foot.
I personally went and saw him he is a bit out of it but with some rest he'll be fine.
So as of now we are spectating.
We have our heads up high and are proud of our efforts.
Team Kiwi rocks!

I hope that Richard will get better quickly. Any idea what happened to cause the car to go off course at turn 7 - traffic issues, slippery track, tire issues, or ? I definitely know that it is pretty easy to go off track at turn 8, but turn 7 usually has enough room, so just wondering. - Jim

Im back home after a long exciting, exhausting week at Thill.
Great time with our new friends the "kiwi's"
The Hauler should hit the OC about 10 pm tonight with the car and remaining crew.
Our driver was released from Enloe hospital in Chico 12pm saturday after an overnight stay.
He looks the same but with more bumps and brusies than he started out with.
We are all pleased his injuries were limited, and that the safety equipment did its job.
I belive the general consensus is that we will be back next year to complete some unfinished business.
We'll be ready

Wow, glad to hear he is ok. That was straight outta left field. Everything going good and then bang, complete 180. I wish Richard a speedy long term recovery. Good luck if you all decide to compete again next year.
