Re: My new 240Z

As for mine, after one year siting at the shop, it is finally will be worked on this week or next week. Plan for the z relatively the same with some changes under way. I'll update when I get home today.

Re: My new 240Z
Sorry, progress is a slow taking both at the shop and on my part. But, here is an update. she is still an empty shell at this time while the motor is being put together. The rear Maxima big brakes are on the car, the bigger hard fuel lines are switched in, all unnecessary accessories are removed like air conditioning unit... The hurdle now is trying to upgrade the brake booster to a bigger than stock 240z to handle the big brake upgrade and so far, the 280zx booster doesn't fit without drilling holes.
Here are some pics.

Re: My new 240Z
^ Pretty much bolt on. The only mods are cutting or removing the dust shields and using the Integra brake hoses.
Just ordered the 280z brake booster. That should get the project going.

Re: My new 240Z
Lots of progress since I last posted. The L28ET swap is in so did the radiator, bigger 280z brake booster and master cylinder, WRX sti differential and the nice looking Volk Racing wheels. I am debating whether to run the stock 280zx turbo harness or go with the Megasquirt 2 stand alone system which is being custom build as we speak.

Re: My new 240Z
The 240z was my retirement car where I can spend my old age wrenching it. But, with it's value going through the roof, I decided to pick one up before the price goes out off my reach. With that said, I'm keeping it stock looking. The most I will go in term of body add-on will be a BRE front air-damp and back wing. Once I get the z back and figure out the exact tire size which base on the new suspension, a set of Hayashi Racing Techno R M501 will replace the Volks.
I don't have pics of the M501 as they are currently in storage. Sample pic is below. Mine have deeper lips and wider with 15x114.3 4x7. I may go 4x8 in the back as I have a set of those as well. As you can see, I'm keeping the whole car old school
