Thinking of trading my s2000. Replacement?

Re: Thinking of trading my s2000. Replacement?
I personally wouldn't trade MY06 (see what I did there?) S2K in, but to each their own I suppose. Are you really asking us to talk you out of it, or do you plan to trade it in regardless and simply want an opinion as of what to trade it in for?
If the former, then: every time I sit into my S2K (looks as though it's similar to yours, AP2, silverstone, black & red interior, etc) - I get a huge grin on my face, and if I'm not physically smiling, then my soul is. Regardless, these cars demand respect and skill to drive near and above normal people's limits. If you've done good so far, why ruin that? There's so much room to grow as a driver with this car. And I know you're not the "best s2k driver" either, so don't geme that "I've reached the car's limits as well as mine" bs. Just push the car and your driving skill set further.. I mean that's why you have the car, right?
If the former: then it all depends on your needs. Do you have kids / family / friends that often get into your car? Seeing as how you have an S2K, I'd assume not, so, are you looking for another 2 seater? BMW Z-something with an M-something pkg? Or are you after power and price? If so, go for an AWD 04+ Subaru Impreza WRX STi. I had a few and they're suuuuper fine too, albeit a 4door if that's okay.
Good luck.

I've had several BMW's new and old and the build quality puts Honda to shame. They are a dream to work on in comparison. None of the clips magically just break when you are popping panels off, everything is so intuitive when pulling anything apart, and if you know where to shop online parts aren't that expensive. It helps I work at a dealership so often I'd just order parts at cost but with that being said the price I pay for Honda parts vs BMW parts is very close.

Is this a trick question?
How about an AP2 ?
Depends on whether you want a direct replacement.
I'd consider a Lotus Elise or a Porsche Cayman, maybe.

Thought seriously about the S2000 but because of the same price constraints, I picked up the little bugger below last year. It was in pristine condition, 19k miles on the odo, power retractable hard top, 2010 Miata GT. Paid $15.9 for it. The picture shows me having a blast in it at Deal's Gap, TN. The handling in the twisties was incredible:

Yes, this thread is about as old and moldy as can be , but what the heck, I'll give it a whirl.

why would you trade it? that car is so rare these days, it is why a lot of people still want to get their hands on one even though it was discontinued years ago. if you trade/sell it you will regret it.

Re: Thinking of trading my s2000. Replacement?
you're asking us for a replacment?
whatever the next car is you'd probably end up selling it within a year and just repeating the cycle over and over
go buy a 01/02 Viper since you asked, that's the next car I'm looking at
