J's vs. Mugen header on F22 (yes I searched)
I've done a bit of searching on headers and the consensus seems to be the J's is the best (with other mods + tuning), but most seem to be driving AP1s. I see a lot of people trashing the the Mugen, but Mugen seems to be the only one that has designed a header specifically for the F22. I would assume all the headers like J's, Toda, Spoon and Amuse are optimized for the F20 for obvious reasons. I've also read that Mugen is good for midrange and J's is good for top end but I'm not sure which engine they're referring to. I guess I'm asking has it been proven that, specifically on the F22, the J's offers better gains across the power band than the F22-specific Mugen?
Thanks
Thanks

A local shop here sells the J's header for 1550, expensive! Bought my S2000 for something I could enjoy in its stock platform, and it will probably stay that way haha. Way to much for something to add about as much performance as me skipping breakfast

Go with the Mugen. J's Racing headers are good. However, the output differences between the header will not differ by much. Save yourself the extra money.

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone know the collector diameter on these (or any other) headers? I've emailed King Motorsports to ask about the Mugen. There seem to be a few J's owners on here someone must know the J's specs.

There is an official header thread on s2ki.com it will answer all of your questions. J's is the best performing header for the s2000 (except maybe hytech) and mugen doesnt make power over stock. They are both expensive so it seems like a no brainer to me. I bought the J's.

I think I found the thread: http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php...ic=445570&st=0
There are a few dyno plots. Not a big difference between the J's and AP2 Mugen. If only the J's had a heat shield...

Why spend so much moneyon a header when you can have this one for less and makes a good amount of Gains

You can't go wrong with either one, but personally I would go with the J's. The Mugen is a great piece, but for the cash the power gains aren't that great.
