^^^take 2 markers and tape them together... this gives you equal spacing when you trace around the edge...

i taped a socket to the marker, so i can pick what ever size socket i want. but using a washer is a good idea and i have plenty of large washers laying around from all my other projects. the only about using the washer is that hood have to be laying down. i didn't want to lay the hood down to protect the paint. i worked with the hood standing up the whole time.

we laid mine down on 2 horses and put a blanket underneath it so it wouldnt get scratched...

bringing back from the dead, whats everyone talking about when it comes to the marker or washer technique im about to do this to one of my wrecked hoods for practice but im curious to see what i can do to help utilize my available tools
