Default Rearview mirror adjustment on 5th Gen.

My rearview mirror has suddenly became very loose . Is there a way to tighten it back up? If so how do I take the cover apart to get at the inside? the mirror itself is not loose...just the "arm"

pry the dome light off with a small flathead screwdriver, and carefully remove the bulbs inside. you should be able to see some screws and bolts in there. just start removing bolts and screws, and remember where they go. eventually you will be able to get at the bolts for the mirror and then just tighten them up. i have never actually taken that much off, but i did take the bulbs out and remove the plastic cover thing. oh, and this is for a 5th gen.

Good info. Any idea if this is similar to a forth gen? Mine's becoming a little loose...

if it's the whoel assembly on the winshield, take a phillips screwdriver to the screw in the underside of the elbow going to the winshield. if it already fell off, loosen it, slide it into teh clip that's on the winshield, and tighten it while you hold it all teh way in the clip.

if you can't understand what i said, i'm sorry, it's not my fault you don't know how to tighten it.

What's with the attitude? I never even looked at it so I have no idea how easy it might be. You don't have to be a dick about it...
