Re: (m3dia_lab)
well, you could try actually checking the connection and see if it's loose. Mine was doing that for a long time, full oil and everything. I looked up under there and sure enough.. the connection was loose as hell! Wouldn't hurt to peak up in there and take a look.

Sorry to post on here I dont have a prelude I have and Integra and its doing the same thing thats happening to you.....my oil light from the dash starts blinking like crazy and then my car shuts off....I'm thinking is something with the oil pressure but I dont even know where the oil pump is or where the oil pressure sending switch is. I've read your post hopefully there in the same place...

Just because you have a full crank case of oil, doesn't mean you have pressure. You can replace the sensor, but I would
IMMEDIATELY STOP DRIVING YOUR CAR
And check on that oil pump.

Re: oil light flashing?? (m3dia_lab)
well my oil light started flashing today so i imediatly turned it off and popped the hood and there was oil sprayed everywhere. It seems to be coming from the back side of the block somewhere. Is there anythign pretty comman that would blow and cause oil to shot everywhere?

well that would make sense to why he was loosing pressure... and speaking of oil lights why is it so hard to get girls to understand how imperative it is to STOP when they see the oil light.... "but i had no where to stop and I couldn't be late for work.." blah blah blah.. Stop or the car will poop and make you stop.. LoL. Sorry i'm frustrated with girls.
