My Steering wheel shakes while accelerating...HELP
Hi, i'm new to this board and have a question. I have the 2000 prelude and my steering wheel will shake really bad when i accelerate. It doesn't shake if i put it into neutrul and coast. I thought it was my tires at first but TireWorld checked out my tires and said they were balance, I changed out my passanger side front axle, and it still shakes. Does anyone know of this problem? or have any idea what the heck is going on? Please help me...thanks for any replys.

alignment, loose lugs...those have cause shaking for me in the past. maybe its the rack and pinion...not sure if that would cause vibrations...just know its part of the steering.

Re: My Steering wheel shakes while accelerating...HELP (Slipknt777)
My and a friend checked everything possible. He did mention that the rack and pinion might be lose. Is there a way to check for that? We also notice when we rock the wheel from side to side it makes a noise (like there's not enough fluid). Is there a way to check for the steering wheel fluid? seeing if it goes through all the hose? Does the power steering pump have to have a certain pressure? Because we don't think its holding the pressure to force the fluid through. Please help. Thanks
