I just lowered my suspension on Tein S springs and Kyb Agx shocks. I know the springs take time to settle, but the rear suspension is considerably lower than the front(Front has a bit over 2 fingers gap and the rears have a little over 1 finger wheel gap). With the Tein S springs, the front is supposed to be a tad lower than the rears. Could it be possible that I put the front springs on the back and the back on front? or does the front take longer to settle than the rears?

Does anyone have the part numbers for the fronts and rears?

The front springs have an "F" at the end of the model # (printed on the spring) and the rears have an "R". I know that the site lists the rear drop to be more then the front, and my H Techs came out with the rear lower then the front by a little

On the site, the S tech lists the fronts lower than the rears. So, yours are also lower in the rear?

mine are not lower in the rear, but i doubt you could have put the rears on the front, the car would be SERIOUSLY wacked....

most springs are lower in front, higher in rear. maybe you rear shock is set on really stiff. letting it not sag down

No, I checked everything and there were no clearance issues with control arms and such.

I set all the shocks to one before I installed them, but that's a good point. I will take a look at that.

Also, could the rear springs just be settling in before the fronts?

I guess the most logical think for me to do is to check to see if the front springs say "f" at the end of the model number and the rear springs say "r" at the end of the model#.
I just figured that others may have experienced the same problem.

I hope its just that the fronts take a bit longer to settle thana the rears.

you have it installed right. You must have an SH. It's not going to settile any more your stuck that way. i had the same set up with the same problem. You can either now get konis yellows or new spriings to fix this problem. Or you can cut the spring

How long do springs take to settle?

I hear a couple of weeks. Will it settle with a couple of weeks of sitting or should it settle with couple of weeks of driving? Please clarify.

No, its actually a base model. Its just weird having the rear lower than the front.

Most springs should settle within a couple of weeks, however, some take longer. They will still settle if the car is not driven, but will settle quicker if the car is driven.

i've never seen the tein drop, but alot of cars that i lowered on springs seems to be lower in the back than the front

the gap from tire to fender is always smaller in the back than the front on just about every Honda, even on OEM springs. Use a tap measure and look at the distance from the ground to the underbody (near the side/rear jack point), then measure the same for the front (near the side/front jack point). If they are close then your ride height is even.

Double checked everything and everything looks fine. I just think its the springs. Come to think of it, as another poster said, I have noticed a couple of stock 5th gens where is rear is slightly lower than the front. i am surprised that more people haven't noticed this with Tein lowering springs.
