Default Gas Guage

Hey Im Curious Why My Guage Is Acting like This.....So I go and get gas and it fills up a quarter of a tank right....well as im drivin my guage goes down then shoots back up to half a tank then down to 3 quarters of a tank then back down. the other night i was cruisin and my gas light came on then back off then started flashing.....Can Ya Help Out. Thanks

the sensor could be bad. my buddy has an accord and his sensor is bad and it's like 100 bucks to replace it and he just doesn't worry about, he knows how much he can roughly get to a tank.

Well, there's either a problem with the sensor in the tank or the connection at the gauge.

duh, didn't even consider that connection at the gauge.

hey something up with my sensor too, just got the 92 prelude, bought it off someone and the gas light was on and empty on the gauge, so i filled it up, drove it home and its been full ever since, after that fill up i put about 40 miles on it and its still full. either this thing is crazy at saving gas or something wrong with the gauge. help?? btw this my first post!!

I can drive almost 100 miles and the guage wont go down from full. Once it gets to a certian point it drops REALLY fast after that.
