Lately my car has been making a clicking noise when i turn left. I checked the axle and one of the boots had torn. The other day i was driving and turned and heard a loud thump then grinding noises. I got out and checked and my rotor had dropped and scrapped my rim. Could my axle be broken? What else could of messed up? What would i need to check?

First off don't drive your car anymore and take off both front wheels and inspect the axle/ brake rotor area. If your rotor dropped then sounds like it could be that your brakes aren't tightened properly. Could be a lot of things wrong just take a look and report your findings. Pictures will help us out as well to further assist you in your issue.

Breaking an axle or a ball joint wouldn't let your rotor hit the rim. If your rotor is hitting the rim, it sounds like your rotor broke. When was the last time you did your brakes? Btw the clicking is a bad joint in the axle. They need to be changed too.
