Swapping spacesaver for full sized spare (fit/jazz)
Hi there,
Family member recently purchased a lovely Jazz 1.3L ('vibe'). Here in Australia we are receiving the Japanese Jazz temporarily as the Thai factories are out of action. With that change, the car has switched from a full sized spare to a space saver. Unfortunately here in Australia, that can be a dicey proposition.
Just wondering if any one here had any idea about swapping them out (and possibly raising the boot floor). Is it possible? Is it feasible?
Thanks in advance.

Sure just get the smallest regular tire allowed down there and fit it in the space then measure how much the cover needs to be raised. Then a trip to the hardware shop for some fiberboard or plywood equal to the amount you need to raise the floor. Cut out a donut shape for the tire. Then add just enough over the tire to make the floor level.

Before you start chopping wood like this Claymore suggested... the floor cover on the trunk can raise by design... all you need the least is work on some hard foam to add on the existing support/spacer to level things out.
