Default Honda Fit Factory offset

looking into getting some aftermarket wheels for the Fit, but i'm unsure on the factory offest of the wheels. I grabbed a set of HFP wheels and i saw +57mm offset. Can this be correct? And if so what company out there is making wheels for this vehicle so far?

The stock sport alloys say "offset 55mm" on the face of them so Im assuming 55mm.

Virtually any 4x100 wheel that will fit a Civic should work on the Fit, so whats that a couple thousand different wheels LOL

well i've tried enkei OR52's (+42mm) with 205/45r16's and I cant get people in the back without it rubbing the fender wells. I'm thinking i'll bring in some +48mm offset wheels and try them.

nightmare this is turning out to be

actually most set of rims for civics n stuff are 40mm offset, but with that setup you won't clear the calipers so you are gonna need a 3mm spacer. Trust me i know from attempts. I took my 17" wheels off my hatch and tried em on my fit, no luck they didnt clear. Then i bought some 3mm spacers and woala, they cleared. I don't know about the scrapage issue tho i'll try it again n get back 2 ya.

if the factory offset is 55 and you put 40's on it you should not need a spacer that would make it a 37 offset. ?????? Got to explain that one a little more.

Spacers would throw it out more and closer to the fender.

I've taken a set down to a wheel repair shop (alberta wheel) to get them to mill off about 10mm of the hub. that would drop the offset to 52mm and clear everything very nicely.

should be ready tuesday or wednsday

I have +40 and its fine. and if from the factory the car runs a +55 then +40 is MORE then enough to clear for sure.

Different spoke designs will affect which offsets will clear the calipers. I doubt you guys are talking about the same wheels.

thats wierd cuz mine was a 17 x 7 and it would rub the caliper on the front and the back fo the fender well in the back.

Had something similar done on my Fit and it works like it was factory fit. Aside from the wheels, did you try to adjust the height of your Fit from the factory height?
