Default What am I missing on my list for the ZC swap into my 90 CRX HF

I'm getting ready to do my first engine swap and I would appreciate any help I can get. I've been doing my research but I want to be sure I get everything before I start to avoid any un-needed headaches later on. This is the list I've got so far..if anyone can offer some advice or tips I'd appreciate it.

ZC motor with black valve cover with Honda symbol on exhaust side (DOHC)
ZC or 90-91 SI transmission
ZC or 90-93 Integra axles
ZC or Integra ECU for best mapping
Rywire 88-91 CRX/Civic DX/STD to DOHC ZC Conversion ( I think)
OBD0 to OBD1 ECU Conversion Harness
90-91 SI knuckles
90-91 SI rotors, calipers, and new brake lines
90-93 Integra upper radiator hose

</TD></TR></TABLE>if you are getting the 88-91 OBD0 DOHC ZC, the only things you need to do are to use a 88-89 Integra upper radiator hose and 88-91 CRX/Civic Si lower radiator hose - you will need to make minor wiring change at the distributor

if you are using the ZC transmission, you will need to swap out the knuckles/hubs for ones from 88-91 CRX/Civic DX/LX/Si and use 90-93 Integra axles - if you are not using a ZC transmission, you don't <U>have</U> to swap knuckles/hubs, although it is a good idea - you would then need 88-91 CRX/Civic DX/LX/EX/Si axles

you don't need OBD0 to OBD1 ECU conversion harness unless you are getting OBD1 DOHC ZC or converting to OBD1 - you will need PM6, PM7 or 88-89 PG7 ECU if you are running OBD0 - you will need JDM DOHC ZC P29 ECU or chipped P06, P28, etc. ECU for OBD1

you will also need header and exhaust, as the HF exhaust system isn't going to get the job done

Not try to steal the thread, but im in the same boat as importlover6262.
My question is, if using zc trany i have to use 90-93 integra axels?
I've been told that SI axels will do with zc trany cuz they're pretty much identical?
correct me if im wrong.

you cannot use Si axles with the ZC transmission - you need a ZC intermediate shaft and 90-93 Integra axles - Si axles have smaller diameter splined end, where they go into the transmission, than the ZC - ZC has larger diameter like the Integra

Thanks for the info. I have a question about using an OBD1 motor. If I use the OBD1 do I have have to get anything but the hydro tranny kit from hasport to mount it in my car? I have also been looking at ecu's on ebay and have found a few that look like they will work, but I was wondering if I got one that is a P06 but has been reworked for pretty much any application. Below is the link..please bear with me if the link doesn't work, I'm still trying to figure out how to use forums. [http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sid=p3907.m32]
