Default 1990 Honda Civic crx si

Hey I have a 1990 crx si , it has a d15z1 motor in it but the engine harness is fried , could I swap in a d16 z6 harness in my car , would I be able to convert it & have my car running just fine?

I'm not personally familiar with either engine ( always had A6, Y8 or B16) but depending on how the connectors are ( lets assume the connectors are good) I would just get you a wiring diagram for verification and replace each wire one at a time connector to connector. Obvious this is a very tedious and time consuming process but it will save ur pocket a fair bit.
