Re: Upholstery/ Seat repair
I think right now he's interested in seeing who would be looking for something like this, I think if there is enough interest, then he will go on to the next step, samples, I wish this had been available a few years ago, I got so frustrated by the lack of upholstery availability for my 86, I finally hand made a set, with no sewing machine. don't low ball him, if he does quality work it's worth every penny, upholstery is hard work. don't be afraid to install them yourself, all you need is to get a set of hog ring pliers and hog rings, possibly some spray adhesive to make the upholstery fit the bolster, it's not hard to do at all. the visors have always defied me, I can't figure out how they got the upholstery around the plastic bead they snap in with. I would be interested in visors myself

Re: Upholstery/ Seat repair
I would deff would like to get some. My rear seats in my sedan need to be redone and would like to have them nice and new looking. I would also like to get my front seats to match the rear.
What if I was take my seat cover off and ship it to you, Would that help you out in any way? Its the only one that I have and I wouldnt want to ship it to you and you cut it all up and not be able to make it then ill be out of a back seat cover for anyone else to copy.

@1739 I would assure you there'd be no way I would cut up someones stock seat covers and then leave them hanging. Obviously having the seat actually with me would be ideal cause then I could give you the absolute best fitment possible. But, once I get set up and going hit me up and we can talk.

Re: Upholstery/ Seat repair
You have to keep in mind a couple of things.
1. si seats different from dx.
2. 88-89 seats different than 90-91
3. crx seats different than hatch
4. wagon seats different
5. sedan seats different.
But I'm in.
I could never get a good answer from other thread with pictures etc.
As long as reasonable.

Re: Upholstery/ Seat repair
My ef seats have all been repaired with iron on patches around the bolsters.
Having stonger bolster material on the sides is another option.

Re: Upholstery/ Seat repair
id go for stock looking bluish seat covers. specially a driver side one, my crx si has the typical bolster damage, and I am in the process of trying to restore it.

Re: Upholstery/ Seat repair
The very first post in this thread should have had several pictures/samples. How can anybody say whether or not they're in or not without a work sample?
So, needless to say, in for pics...

Re: Upholstery/ Seat repair
The point of the initial post was not to ask for 100% commitment it was simply to gauge if there is enough interest to establish the initial effort. Custom upholstery that is done correctly isn't exactly cheap or easy. Just for a little insight to everyone the sewing machine alone is $2000. So I feel that asking for some responses and input before putting something together is more than justified.
