Turn Signals Not working, no brake lights
Yo I got some problems with my lights
My brake lights dont work and my turn signals dont work, I dont even hear the flasher clicking, I'm pretty sure my fuses are good, I'll double check
Whats weird is that my brake lights worked a few days ago, now they don't
My wiring is very sound, no shorts
I do have some plugs under the dash near the fuse panel that I dont know where they go
Is there some information where I can find out what these plugs are for, they not super important the car runs and my headlighs and running lights work.....
thanks

Re: Turn Signals Not working, no brake lights
i think the brake lights and turn signals are the same fuse i would double check that fuse under the dash...and wats the number of pins on the clips and location you say arent plugged in? pics would help a great deal.

Re: Turn Signals Not working, no brake lights
I'm 99% sure the lights are on the same fuse. The fuse may look good, but it can be bad. If you have a test light you can test it that way or just pop it out and replace it with a good one.
As for your plugs hanging down that's a hard one. Get a good flash light and start following wires and looking for other plugs that they go to. You can snap some good pics and post em up. Some of us on here may know where they go.

Re: Turn Signals Not working, no brake lights
I have a similar problem, and i have narrowed it down to the combination switch that handles headlights and turn signals on the steering column. Mine is definitely bad because when it is really cold out, my headlights turn on fine, but my dash and tail lights don't turn on for about 5-10 mins unless i mess around with the switch.. You may not rule out that combination switch as the source of the problem, if you find that your fuse is good.

I changed the flasher to no avail
I've tried 2 brake switches. I have tested the bulb sockets and discovered they are properly grounded.
As for the mysterious plugs, I think they are supposed to plug into my dash (which is not installed) theres only a couple and the wires are very small gauge.
Another wierd problem is my car wont shut off when I take the key out
If I turn accessory on and then take the key out, it shuts the lights/accessories off just fine. But if I crank the engine it it just keeps running, as if independantly from the accessory.
Its a h swap ef, using a custom obd0 to obd1 converter. I bet I could just wire the dizzy to accessory, but maby I'm just dancing around a real problem...
any thoughts

Re: Turn Signals Not working, no brake lights
could be the relay or could be the flashers themselves
double check the bulbs and the sockets make sure nothing was melted internally.
and make sure the pedal is even hitting the brake switch

For the brake light like someone said you could go down and take a look under the brake pedal there should be this little nub either blue or black those get broken sometimes and need to replace if it is broken it only cost couple of bucks to replace...hope this helps out
