tough to get into first
after completeing the A1 tranny swap with a new exedy clutch in the b16a cable tranny. i'm having problems with changing gears, when the car is stop its hard to put it into first gear, after fighting with it sometimes it goes in other times had to force it in, but once car gets rolling shifting into 2nd-5th gear is easy, and when i try to put it in reverse the gear grinds! why????? could it be because i have not changed shift linkage for a hasport or aftermarket version?

Re: tough to get into first (EVIL_Vap133)
oyeah the A1 tranny has the phantom lsd also, not even sure if that is working properly car still pulls left alittle, now when i switched the stock cable with one from a 91 integra new the clutch was reall hard to press is that normal? even with the adjustment nut all the way up the cable still had tension on the arm, i cut alittle of the rubber piece that goes between the arm so that there would be less tension, if it suppose to be very hard to press maybe thats what happen, someone shed some light on this...... oyeah the cable is maxed out with the nut all the way up so i can't loosen the tension on the cable no more

Re: tough to get into first (andrew ef)
When you go into reverse, throw it in first, then reverse...that should stop that grind(hopefully you already knew that) . Anyways if all the work was done properly/parts are still good, then it sounds like improper linkage/ bent linkage. Bad linkage makes shifting a bitch, plus ***** up your tranny in the long run.
