Default tachometer not working

i need some help my rpm gauge isn't working. well it works then it doesnt. it works when i freakin wants to. i wanna know is their like a fuse or wire or something that works it???? thanxxx. ^_^

lmao i dunno why i was thinking speedometer.

yea rpm gauge acting up is either a loose wire at cluster, faulty gauge, or ignition coil in the dizzy is on its way out.

thats for the speedo. you may have a loose wire in your dizzy. the dizzy has a blue wire that goes to the ecu and the tach. check all the connections in the 2 plug harness on the dizzy.

he said his rpm isnt working, the cable you are referring to is for the speedo.

the rpm's are monitored by a sensor in the distributor. maybe try a different dizzy if you have one laying around. if not that the cluster could be screwed

check behind the cluster there is also a blue wire there it is on the right side see if its messed up or like others state check the dizzy wire ( blue) and go from there
