suspension instalation
This will be long
Ok i just got prokit springs and tokico illuminas for an 88 crx si with a b16, first off does anyone have a link to someone doing a write up about the instalation, i have no clue about instaling suspension i have never done anything with it. first thing i have to do is get new tie end rods because the screw joints on the tie end rods or fucked up they are stripped and old screws wont go on, i have a acouple of questions, ive done alot of work its just suspension i have no experince with and want to make sure im doing it right, so it might be atlittle tedious. =\
1. anyone know do i have to get a completely new tie end rods or is there a way to just remove the the screw from its ball joint i guess thats what it is??
2.also i know since im lowering it they say to cut the bump stops in half? is a bump stop the thing thats inbetween the spring and the of the wheel well?
3.also should i just rent a spring compressor or just get a shop to put the spring on the shock?
4.Ohhh the reason why my tie end rods are fucked up beacuse the idiot who owned the car before me put lowering springs on gr2 shocks and those blew real fast and once i put the b16 it lowered even more and the wheels angeled out so it pretty much bend the tie end screw and the joint is completely fucked up....
5. im kinda drinking right now so if this thread doesnt make much sense sorry.. =\
but is there is a thread that explains the instalation please post thanks.
