Default ignition switch interchangeability

I have 91 lx with a ignition switch going out. this cars budget is totally tapped for a winter beater that I can barely keep running. I have put over 1000 in a car most likely not worth 500 (rust bucket)

But anyways I had bought a steering column off a 92+ not sure what year, with plans of installing that steering wheel. It also came with a full lock and ignition switch. I think this from a six gen, it has 2 wires going to the lock I think this the magnetic security feature.

What I want to do is take the six gen ignition switch wire it in to the 91 harness (re pin).
Are they the same switch minus the harness connectors and security wires?

I would not use the security wires
PS
Obviously they would have different part numbers if the harenss connectors are different.
I have not yet took apart my steering column in my ef.
the 6 gen hareness looks like this
2 connectors
I beleave there are 5 switch wires total and 2 megnetic security wires so 7 total.
the 5 wires are larger gauge than the 2 security wires.

Any wiring diagram you might have could help!
