Default Error code 43, CRX EE8 (B16A1) (1990)

Hello in here,

This is my first post on this website.. however i have been reading various stuff in here over the years. Im from DK by the way..

It seems i need some experts to help me with an issue that really annoys me..

So i get this code 43 when reading my ecu.
4 long flashes
3 short flashes

The car runs fine when its cold.. it also starts fine. No problem.

But whenever it gets warm the engine light turns on.

Then the cars runs really akward, especially when running on higher rpm 4-5k plus. It is lagging (i am not sure what the correct english word for this is).
And the rpm counter can jump up and down in a really weird way.

Also the car will smell of fuel. Like its just burning way to much fuel off..
I can read this on the fuel counter.. it uses too much fuel.

So i have changed both O2 sensors to 2 new OEM. But that did not help at all..

Is there anyone who have some good ideas on what the problem could be ?

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I'm not sure about but: i had already a problem like that and i've changed my MAP sensor. My problem was about 44 error wich is similar but o2 sensor B - i changed it and the engine light turns on all the time; after some experiencies i've changed MAP sensor and it's fine now

if you have some friend with b16a1 you can try it. I think d16a9 MAP fits too...

(I've a EE8 B16A1 too) and it worked.

heyo,

maybe start to check both O2 sensors. i had pretty much the same issue and at the end (changing O2 sensor, MAP, cleaning everything up, ..) it was a wire close to the ECU big connector that was "half" broken.
