no its been said that 90-93 axles with matching intermediate shaft or 94-01 with matching intermediate will work

I'll be doing an LS motor swap into my 89 Si hatch in the next few months. I know that all motor mount kits get the job done depending on quality but, I was curious on what every one is using. I'm looking at both HASPORT and INNOVATIVE. I noticed that HASPORT uses only 3 mounts but, INNOVATIVE has 3 mounts plus they make the front tranny mount as well. I'm leaning towards INNOVATIVE for their price but, HASPORTS been around for quite some time now. Input from anyone that's had experience with either one would be great. Thanks in advance.

And, thanks to D16SiHatch for the write up.

Im on my way to pick up a B18a1 and manual transmission in about an hour. I got the hasport mounts, axles, hasport shift linkage, obd1 ecu, and dx engine harness for $430 including shipping. Got them off a guy that was parting out his crx that had a swap in it. Great deal considering hasport mounts and shift linkage run about $500. Click on the link to my build thread the pictures of all the pieces are on the 6 page. And yea I did notice that they dont use a front transmission mount. Idk why, but many people use hasports so they must be good.

Very true, I have been through 2 sets of eBay mounts (Yonaka brand) within' the past 4-5 years and they definitely start deteriorating fairly quick, especially if you drag race your car or run it hard. I just recently bought a set of Arizona Race (http://www.azracemachine.com/product...91CivicCrx.htm) and they are excellent quality; they lifted my motor slightly compared to the eBay. FYI I am using the Hasport trans. mount though since I'm also using Hasport's cable-hydro mechanical kit which works very well also. I bought the mounts several months ago on eBay for $200 shipped!

Not sure about that one but I do know that my VSS which came out of my cable trans. fit in my GSR (hydro) perfectly fine.

just dropped my engine in the bay 2day. (LS/VTEC) i ran with d series alternator. filed the mounting holes on the alternator a little and filed the b series alternator bracket a little bit. used a carbide bit on a die grinder. used a 295k3 belt. (oe 300k3 belt too big). perfect fit. did not need to pound in my freshly painted engine bay. as far as rear tranny/engine bracket- the only difference i see between auto and manuel is NONE. held two side by side- identicle. however there is a diffence between cable and hydro tranny. hydro tranny uses 14m x 1.50 bolts for the two lower bolts on the bracket; cable tranny and auto tranny uses 12m x 1.25 bolts. my solution- file the holes out a little so the 14m diameter bolts fit. and throttle cable from LS engine is the same as the d series. all i did was took some measurments and drilled another hole in the bracket that bolts to the intake, cut off the rest, and painted it. problem solved. i didnt feel like payin $25 for innovates bracket. hope this may help some ppl.

my appologies..... throttle cable is a must. d series too short. still had to modify the LS bracket to werk w the b16 head. i am too stuck somewut on the speedo. as far as i have gotten, i removed the electronic speedo sensor. the speedo cable fis right in, but no real way of securing it to the tranny. any ideas ne one? i was think of fabricating a hold down and making the rubber boot seal over the end.

Just change the VSS to a mechanical one, or you can also swap clusters for one with an electronic VSS, but none fit very well into the CRX cluster hood. EK9 fits the best IMHO

Take an Instrument cluster from spec 98 (dc2). it fits with minimum custom and looks very nacely in CRX.

D16SiHatch
Very good post, informativly. and a want to add, that axles from automatik tranny fit to the mechanical one.
i don't know, is it easy to finde axles from mec. tranny in USA, but in Russia I had a lot of hardships with searching them. First of all is price: axles from M/T cost 100y.e. each, when axles from A/T cost 30y.e. each.. So i took both axles from honda orthia (B20B A/T) and intermediate shaft from spec 98.

wow!!!

thank you thank you thank you.

here is what i am going to do.
i found a JDM ef MPFI harness off ebay. i am going to get all swap parts from a DA integra, B series to EF mounts for $80., and shift linkage off ebay, as well as OBD0-1 ecu jumper.
I am trying to swap b16a2 into std 91 ef chassis. what ecu will work best.

you could but their is no real benefit to do doing so, and you'd have a lot more sensors you'd have to run wiring for. (ex. evap sensor, CKF sensor)

I'm about to to this swap and I thought it would be a straight swap over. I'm getting a FULL running DA but the body is trash so I was going to do the full swap into my 90 Si. I was just going to use the stock motor mounts and linkage. will none of the O.E. mounts swap over? The shift linkage is gonna tick me off cuz I'll have 2 linkages laying around... how much would I have to shorten one? Thanks and great write up

unless you want to relocate the mount brackets you need aftermarket motor mounts for a b series into ef chasis, same with the linkage unless you shorten the DA linkage to work
