Re: (Blaze45)
yeah i HAD the same problem. i replaced the clutch cable itself (not just for this squeeking but for other reasons) and it still happened, so i knew it wasnt the cable. SO.... i bought a can of lubricating oil and stuck my head under the dash where the assembely is. and you need to lubricate the assembely where the cable connects to the pedal. and there is a spring you need to lube up as well. (if i remember correctly) its VERY simple and it has never happened since. good luck

change the spring for the clutch pedal. its located under the dash at the top of the pedal. this should cure the squeak. or you could lube the top of the pedal where the bolt and nut is.

First you have to get up under the dashboard and find out exactly where your squeak is coming from.

wd40 is not a lubricant, is a disolvant man.
use some white grease to lube the bushing and the spring.
if you whant to feel the pain in your *** doing this, you can also make the whole trip to remoove the cable assembly and lube it goooooood with some grease and reassemble it, put it back into place. I did this when doing my auto to manual conversion
