Here is how I ran mine. I have since removed the charcoal canister purge solenoid completely and tucked the map sensor under the intake manifold. I'll take more pics tomorrow.

I was running it capped off, but it was plugged in. I pulled the plug out and ran around the block and performance was fine, no codes. The function of that solenoid is to allow vapors from the canister into the intake during acceleration only. If you have no canister, well, take that ish out. I have one of those two ports on the intake manifold capped. I forget which one but you'll see in pics tomorrow.

I ran the fuel tank vent line down to a plastic tube coming out of the bottom of the firewall / shock tower area.

Looks ok to me. If it runs fine then it is. If it surges, you got a leak.

When you take the purge solenoid off all you are left with is the map sensor. You can take off the whole mounting assembly. I zip tied the map sensor to my intake manifold for now, going to mount it to the TB later on.

make sure you dont cap off the vent from the gas tank its the fitting on the firewall that went to the canister, just run a hose from it and let it hang down a foot or so, if its capped off it can cause problemns with pressure in the fuel system

he allready pointed out what he did with the gas tank vent in his first post...and the way he did it is better than just letting it hang down.
